Who We Are

FCOLR (affectionately known as “Albany”) is a congregation firmly established in the love of God, committed to sparking worldwide transformation through revival. We believe that every believer is meant to be part of a community. It was never God’s plan for us to journey through life alone. Located on Albany Ave, in Brooklyn, New York, “Albany” is a community of worshippers of Jesus Christ, driven by a passion to see hearts set ablaze until heaven encounters earth. We stand on the brink of the greatest revival in history. Join us and be part of this movement as we strive for the personal, regional, and global expansion of God's kingdom through His manifest presence.

HISTORY

A History of God's Faithfulness

1971
The church began at Sister Gaston's house as prayer group, with Sister Gaston as the lead.
1973
Pastor Gaston arrived in the U.S. from Delmas, Haiti, to lead the group that Sister Gaston had gathered.
1977
Rev. Gaston Garçon founded the First Church of Later Rain.
1979
As the congregation grew, the church moved to a storefront on Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn.
1984
Continued growth led to the purchase of the campus on Albany Avenue.
201xx
Reverend Gaston passed away, and the leadership was passed to Reverend Pastor Douce.
2019
Under the leadership of Pastor Douce, the church continued to expand.
Pastor Douce continued Pastor Gaston's vision by setting plans in motion to build a new campus by combining three buildings into one.
The church saw growth both in numbers and in attendance, both online and in person.
2019 Onwards
The church continues to reach souls across the US and abroad with our online services.
